Sept 22 – the first day of sunshine!  We enjoy a sunny day in Grand Teton National Park.  The mountain peaks are magnificent and snow covered.  Beautiful viewpoints at Oxbow Bend.  We also visit the old barns of Mormon Row.  Deer, pronghorn antelope, and a moose seen with.  Lovely overnight stay at Fontenelle Reservoir.

Sept 23 – another sunny day, but the nights are very cold as we are up so high.  We sleep with two quilts and a blanket in free campsites we have been finding.

Sept 24 – We leave Wyoming and turn south into Colorado.  The grasslands continue, pine forests, and hills.  We head towards the east side of Rocky Mountain National Park and go up and down mountains and switchbacks.  There are lots of other campers on the road too.

Sept 25 – a warm sunny day up at lower elevations up to 80 degrees Fahrenheit.  We climb to 12,000 feet and the temperature drops to 40 degrees.  A nice day spent driving through the Rocky Mountain Park, we see elk, moose, and deer.
