Left our hotel at 7:30 for our ride to the bus terminal. Today will be a travel day, we are taking a public bus to Cusco, travel time is approx 7 hrs with one 10 minute stop.
Our drive today took us thru the Altiplato (high plateau) gum trees,fir, pines and yucca trees. Lots of people out tending the fields and their animals.
We arrived in Cusco at 5:00,

We stay in Cusco for a couple of days, gives us a chance to catch our breath and get some laundry done.
Cusco is a much more tourist oriented town, people come here to acclimate to the altitude before moving on to Machu Picchu.
